Our Partner for this event, Amanda Marie, says:
Creating art can be beneficial throughout all stages of life and has major health benefits for your Mind, Body, & Spirit. It can help people express themselves in ways they may not be able to put into words.
The creative process relieves stress, encourages creative & out of the box thinking, boosts self-esteem, utilizes imagination, can help be an intense release of emotion, and provides a sense of accomplishment.
“The arts are a critical component of healthcare. Expressive art is a tool to explore, develop and practice creativity as a means to wellness”.
-Wellarts Association
Art is objective. You do not need to identify as a professional artist to create and reap the benefits. As a matter of fact, I challenge YOU to step out of your comfort zone and SHOW OFF something that YOU have CREATED! I bet it’ll feel great.
